Scoil Sinead Schools remains committed to providing an academically rigorous education to students who will walk out of school ready for lives of leadership and service to their community. From literacy to music and art, each day at our School is filled with activities that are both enriching and fun.

Sherene Powell-Okafor
Sherene Powell-Okafor is the Founder and Director of Scoil Sinéad Ltd, a Patron Body committed to advancing inclusive education across Ireland. With a background in both education and psychology, Sherene holds a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Education, and a master’s in applied Behaviour Analysis.
Beginning her teaching career in 1994 and fully qualifying in 1999, Sherene has over two decades of experience in inclusive education, autism, behaviour management, and curriculum design. She serves as Deputy Principal at Scoil Sinéad Pelletstown NS and is also the Founder and Director of HOPE Autism Care Centre, which provides specialist support services for children with additional learning needs.
Sherene is a recognised leader in the teaching field, a member of the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Class of 2025. She is deeply committed to creating inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Sherene continues to mentor and train teachers in evidence-based, compassionate approaches to education and family support both in Ireland and various countries across the globe.
Dr Ikechukwu Okafor
Dr Ikechukwu Okafor is a consultant in Emergency Medicine, and the clinical director of Children’s Health Ireland. He is a clinical Associate Professor at University College Dublin, and a senior Clinical Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
Andrew Gelling
Andrew Gelling is a tax consultant with over 20 years’ experience and principle of his own tax consulting practice. He is a board of management member of another primary school and a member of the board of trustee for another charitable body involved in providing children with special needs, the opportunity to undertake flying in light aircraft and helicopters.
Lora Ruth Wogu
Lora Ruth Wogu is the founder and CEO of Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Ireland, a national patient/parent support and advocacy organisation raising awareness and advancement of patients’ quality of life living with Sickle Cell disease and/or Thalassaemia disease in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
She is also founder and Chief Executive Officer of the European Sickle Federation; an umbrella network of patient organisations united in one voice to advocate for Sickle Cell Disease advancement in Europe, and co-founder of Migrant Health Alliance Ireland.
She is a healthcare professional with over 20 years’ experience in health care, and spends most of her free time volunteering for health and education access for the underrepresented communities.
She holds a BSC in Healthcare Management, a MSc in Quality and Patient Safety in Health Care management, various professional certificates and a primary school teaching background.
Kate OCeallaigh
Kate OCeallaigh is a retired special education teacher with extensive speciality in language development and behaviour management with over 11 years of teaching in special Education teaching schools.
Dr Stanley Koe
Dr Stanley Koe is a consultant in General Paediatrics with Childrens Health Ireland. Dr. Keo is a highly trained and compassionate paediatrician dedicated to providing exceptional care to infants, children, and adolescents.
Their approach to medicine centres around building strong relationships with patients and their families, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their healthcare journey.
Shola Bolaji
Peter Chidozie Okoroji
Peter Chidozie Okoroji has several years experience working with intellectual disability in high and medium support residential services operating in the frontline for many years with tremendous experience in positive-intervention-creation based on a person-centred approach and right-based models of care.
He holds a Master of International Law and Diplomacy from the prestigious University of Lagos.
Chidozie became interested in health and social care services. Chidozie started with QQI Level 5 in healthcare, and shortly after, proceeded to the then Institute of Technology, Carlow and obtained a Higher Diploma in Applied Social Studies in Professional social care (Level 8).
His ambition to provide the best support in this healthcare field saw him enroll in the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, where he obtained a Diploma in Health Services Management preparatory for a higher role in quality service delivery. He is focused and passionate about providing the best quality care by ensuring regulatory and quality compliance.
