Parental Preference

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On the 28th November 2016, The Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton T.D. invited school patron bodies/prospective school patron bodies to apply for the patronage of a new proposed primary schools in Dun Laoghaire, Pelletstown Dublin 7 and Dublin South City Centre (Dublin 2/4 and 6 in order to meet increasing demographic demand.

Scoil Sinead (a new patron) is applying for patronage of the three schools, as mixed gender and multi-denominational, under the name of SCOIL SINEAD PRIMARY SCHOOL.

Our Board of Management will run the everyday needs of the schools to ensure each child’s individual needs are met. Scoil Sinead mission and ethos is to provide primary level education facilities so that every child’s true potential can be realized regardless of their individual challenges.

Students are encouraged to learn through their own individual learning style and with the support of Individual Education Plans where necessary.

All students will be treated equally regardless of their ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability. We are looking for parents in the Dun Laoghaire, Pelletstown Dublin 7 and Dublin South City Centre (Dublin 2/4 and 6 areas with children Montessori/ Crèches/Playgroups to show parental preference to give to the Department of Education.

Please note that this does not mean you have to attend the school if we are successful. Please fill out forms before the 31/12/2016.
